What is The Church?
We start with the word “Ecclesia”.
A gathering of Christians, called out from their homes into some public place – an assembly (ref)
A word Christ first said to Peter in Mathew 16:18 “upon this rock I will build my church (ecclesia)” – although not a new word, embodies the very body of Christ after conquering death.
But how is The Church as a collective group of Christians represented in the bible?
